 • Echocardiography lab, Imaging Services:

  • With 2 boards certification in echocardiography and critical care echocardiography, Dr. Beshay is well positioned to help your patient in this field. 

  • Our ECHO labs in Welland and St.Catharines are certified by CorHealth Ontario, and accredit by Accreditation Canada. See a list of accredit facilities here. In KMH lab in St. Catharines Dr Beshay perform Standard ECHO, Stress Echo (exercise , pharmacological [dobutamine or persantine]). 

  • For specialist, send your patient, will be tested quickly and back to you to continue care, Dr. Beshay is phone away to discuss the result if needed. 

  • We can do test only, or test & Consult if abnormal test (if requested by the referring physician).

• Stress Lab:

  • With board certification in Nuclear Cardiology since 2002 (recertified in 2019), Dr. Beshay is well positioned to help your patient by doing these investigation:

  • Regular exercise (in Welland office & KMH Lab in St.Catharines).

  • Imaging exercise (done at KMH lab in St.catharines, supervised & reported by Dr Beshay.

  • Imaging pharmacological (Persantine, or Dobutamine if Persantine is contraindicated as in severe COPD).

 

 • Clinical Lipidology Services:

  • Dr. Beshay has treated lipid disorders for over 20 years and has dedicated himself to providing his patients with the latest in cardiovascular risk assessments and preventive therapies.  His passion in preventing myocardial infarctions and cerebrovascular accidents led him recently to become board certified in Clinical Lipidology.

  • The American Board of Clinical Lipidology certifies physicians in lipidology after extensive training and a rigorous exam. Dr. Beshay is one of few Board Certified Clinical Lipidologists in Ontario.

  • Dr. Beshay has added Clinical Lipidology as a subspecialty certification to his qualifications to enhance his practice of cardiovascular diseases prevention and treatment. And to devote more of his time to something that he is passionate about.

  • In his capacity as a Clinical Lipidologist he can help you managing more complex dyslipidemias, patients who require combination therapy, very high risk (e.g., >20+% 10-year CVD risk) group of patients, those who have been resistant to prior therapy, or those who require a more precise dyslipidemia/dyslipoproteinemia diagnosis.

  • In summary he can provide world class service in diagnosis of lipid and lipoprotein disorders with recommendations for different treatment modalities.

      • eConsult is a secure web-based tool that allows physician or nurse practitioner timely access to specialist advice for all patients and often eliminates the need for an in-person specialist visit.

    • Why should I use eConsult? What Kind of Cases eConsult is good for?

      • Provides timely access to non-urgent questions (average response time 2 days).

      • Improves care coordination and collaboration between clinicians.

      • Get high-quality advice on clinical questions (e.g. diagnosis, management, drug treatment, Optimizing medical treatment to achieve Guidelines Directed Medical Treatment).

      • Only about one third of eConsults result in patients needing to see a specialist face- to-face.

      • Where applicable, family physicians can bill OHIP using the K738 fee code.

The Ocean eReferral Network is an EMR-integrated, cloud-based technology for healthcare referrals developed by CognisantMD. The Network includes a map-based, searchable directory of healthcare providers with wait times, intelligent referral forms, end-to-end reporting, and automated status alerts for patients and providers.
