These are the services we offer which are covered by the provincial insurance plan. Which include

Clinical Visit 

We provide clinical services for prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. We offer physical visits, or virtual visits (via phone or video). Dr. Beshay has a special interest in clinical lipidology and cardiovascular risk assessment. To prepare for your visit click here.

Echocardiogram

An echocardiogram or ‘echo’ is a scan that uses ultrasound (sound waves) to produce pictures of the heart. It gives your doctor information about the size of various heart chambers, how well the heart is pumping, and whether there are problems with the heart valves. More Info

Exercixe Stress Test

An exercise stress test is a screening tool used to test the effect of exercise on your heart if you have chest pain (to check for coronary artery disease - narrowing of the arteries that feed the heart muscle). More Info

Holter Monitor 

Holter monitoring provides a continuous recording of heart rhythm (as in ECG) during normal activity. The monitor is usually worn for extended period of time (24 to 60 hours) to allow the physicians to look at each individual heartbeat if you have symptoms like dizziness, palpitations, skipped beats, fainting, chest pains or other sensations which may occur during normal day to day activities. Myocardial Perfuaion Imaging

A myocardial perfusion scan is a test that is used to look for major blockages to the blood supply of the heart commonly known as coronary artery disease if you have Chest pain or dyspnea on exertion. More Info

Ambulatory BP Monitor

Ambulatory blood pressure (BP) monitoring provides more frequent recording of BP during normal activity. The monitor is usually worn for 24 hours. It measures BP 2-3 times/hour during daytime (awake time), and 1-2 times/hour during nighttime (sleep time). More Info

Spirometry

Spirometry is a simple breathing test. The test is used to see how well your lungs are functioning. It is used to diagnose different lung diseases and also monitor patients with established lung conditions. Test is not done now because of COVID-19 Pandemic. More Info

ECG

An electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG) records the electrical activity of the heart. No electricity is sent into the body. You may have an ECG to help find the cause of symptoms such as the feeling of a 'thumping heart' (palpitations) or chest pain. Sometimes it is done as part of routine tests - for example, before you have an operation. More Info

Loop Event Recorder

This test provides monitoring of the electrical activity of your heart and recording of your heart rhythm during usual daily activities. the patient activates the Monitor to record ECG when symptoms occur. The testing period can last up to 30 days. More Info

ABI

The ankle brachial index, or ABI, is a simple test that compares the blood pressure in the upper and lower limbs. If it is abnormal, it may mean that a person has peripheral artery disease (PAD) in the blood vessels in his or her legs. More Info

Uninsured Services

These are services offered at the clinic that are not covered by the provincial insurance plan. The cost of these services is the responsibility of the patient, although some may be fully or partially refundable by certain private or group insurance providers. More Info coming soon.

Virtual Visit

Virtual care has become an accepted additional way to deliver care to patients efficiently and effectively. Virtual care allows patients to receive care remotely from a convenient location of their choice. More info.
